In 2010 Chris established the business out of which Stubben Edge evolved. In 2018 Chris led the management buyout as a result of which Stubben Edge Group was created. Chris began his career at the Conservative Research Department working on the Work and Pensions section of the James Committee Review.
He trained at Grant Thornton where he worked in the Financial Services audit and transaction services team before moving to Strand Partners where he gained experience of mergers and acquisitions as well as public and private fundraisings.
Chris has also been a visiting lecturer at Hull University. He is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)
Karen joined what is now Stubben Edge in 2013 as Head of Technical Services with responsibility for enhancing and adding value to a suite of products. She was promoted to Deputy Managing Director in 2016 with a focus on Sales and Product Development.
A graduate of Law from London Guildhall University and a registered Trust and Estate Practitioner since 2004, Karen has extensive experience in the wealth management sector including five years with Canada Life Limited as Head of the Trust and Estate Planning team and two years as a Trust and Tax Manager with MetLife Limited.
Before joining Stubben Edge, Karen was Head of UK Trust Sales with Barclays Wealth and Investment Management. Karen was also a member of the Product Tax Panel at the Association of British Insurers (ABI) for five years.
Danny is a qualified Actuary and has extensive knowledge of the pensions and non-life insurance industries. For the last 3 years, he has been developing insurance products and loyalty/reward programs. His main speciality is in financial and strategic decision modelling, product development and pricing.
Maxine is an experienced and skilled Business Analyst with a proven record of successfully supporting the delivery of multi-faceted and often complex business transformational change Projects. Maxine has worked across the Insurance, Local and Central Government and Travel sectors. Projects have included system deployments, enhanced performance (through continuous improvement initiatives and process re-engineering), including the implementation of a CRM system across two contact centres for local government and latterly across 560+ retail stores supporting 3500+ agents.
Tom began his career working for a large Commercial Insurance Underwriter in Gibraltar. He then went on learning his trade as an HNW Insurance Broker for Martinez & Partners delivering bespoke private client products. For the last 3 years he has been the Senior Relations Director and the Head of Broker Engagement at Stubben Edge.
Declan joined the Stubben Edge Group team working on a large-scale project, implementing a new centralised IT system. Declan works closely with Lucid UX Limited,where he is involved in the Microsoft Dynamics project to replace Legacy Wealth Management and Risk Administration Systems.
Dean is a qualified lawyer has acted for and against numerous multinational financial and insurance companies in the compliance, contractual drafting and litigation space. He has been involved in and facilitated numerous cross border mergers and acquisitions. He was a director at Ramsay Webber Incorporated before starting his own practice. Dean provides specialised legal advice to the Group.
Julie is experienced in transaction structuring and execution, portfolio management, research, financial analysis and relationship building. She developed a wide range of leadership skills through managing diverse teams during her time as Senior Manager in the Deloitte Financial Services team. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a CFA charter holder.
Simon has practised as a barrister for 35 years and has been a QC for 15 years. He has been appointed to sit as a Recorder at the Criminal Court (Old Bailey) and as a Deputy Deemster (judge) by the Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man.
Joined Lloyd’s of London on 1968 and was appointed Deputy Chairman by the Corporation of Lloyd’s in 2007, Chairman of Argenta Private Capital in 2011 and currently served as a director of Lloyd’s broker Marine Aviation & General.
Nick worked in Willis Group for 28 years. He was responsible for the European and retail divisions and was a Board member of each of the major Willis Group operating companies. In 2001, he became non-executive director and acting Chairman of Chubb Europe.
