Stubben Edge Group has achieved ISO/IEC 27001 certification, marking an important milestone in the Group's approach to information security and data protection.
The certification follows an independent audit of our Information Security Management System (ISMS) and provides assurance that the policies, processes and controls we have in place meet internationally recognised standards for managing information securely.
ISO 27001 is the international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). For our clients and partners, the certification provides independent verification that information security is embedded throughout our business. It also reinforces our commitment to continually reviewing and strengthening our approach as technology, regulation and cyber threats continue to evolve.
Rather than being a one-off exercise, ISO 27001 is about embedding good security practices into everyday operations. From risk management and governance through to policies, training and continuous improvement, it provides a framework for protecting the information entrusted to us by our clients, partners and colleagues.
Ryan Thornton, Director of IT at Stubben Edge Group, led the certification project:
"Anyone who's been through ISO 27001 will tell you it isn't a quick process. There's a huge amount of work behind the scenes to make sure your controls, processes and documentation all stand up to independent scrutiny.
For me, the value of the certification is the reassurance it gives our clients that information security is taken seriously across every part of the business. I'm really pleased with what the team has achieved and grateful to everyone who played a part in getting us here."
Achieving certification involved colleagues from across Stubben Edge Group, with teams working together to review existing processes, strengthen controls and demonstrate compliance with the standard. We'd also like to thank Tempo Audits for their support throughout the certification process.
Information security is never static. Threats change, technology evolves and expectations continue to grow. That's why we'll continue reviewing and improving our Information Security Management System to make sure it remains effective as the Group evolves.
